Norbert is a son of GCHB Lupin, bred from a lovely female owned by a dear friend in Quebec. This breeding brought together two pedigrees we had long admired, including a strong connection to the renowned Maibee dogs of the UK. What began as something of a “Hail Mary” breeding — one we never expected to produce what it did — gave us Norbert, while his litter brother remained in Canada.

Norbert is a true toy-sized English Toy Spaniel, weighing not quite 11 pounds. While his petite stature can make him look quite different from some of the other dogs in the ring, those familiar with the breed appreciate that his size is well within the correct and desired scale for an English Toy Spaniel. His unique presence has quickly made him a favorite among Toy breed fanciers.

He began his show career by winning Winners Dog at a Specialty and went on to have an exceptional 2025 Orlando week, earning Best of Variety over top-ranked specials (including his own sire!). He completed his championship with a Variety win and on the same day, earned an Owner-Handled Group 2 Toy Specialty.

Norbert possesses a beautiful and distinctive headpiece, a lovely topline, and excellent movement. But perhaps his greatest inheritance from his father is his attitude. Like Lupin, Norbert absolutely shines on the lead and approaches the show ring with the confidence and showmanship of a seasoned professional.

We are incredibly excited about Norbert’s future and even more excited about the future he will help create. With carefully planned breedings already on the horizon, this little dog has a very big place in the future of Accio!
