Currency is our beautiful natural hairless girl and a very special part of our program. She was gifted to Calan by her breeder Michele Labagh, who sadly passed away from cancer shortly after Currency came into our lives. In a remarkable twist of fate, Currency seemed to bring another unexpected gift with her. Calan truly believes that Michele continued to guide him in spirit when she encouraged him to speak with Meghann at Westminster Kennel Club — a conversation that ultimately became the beginning of their relationship.

Because of this, Currency carries a deep emotional significance for both of us and her place in our program is about far more than breeding or the show ring. She represents a connection, a friendship, and a story that will always be part of our journey.

Beautifully made with lovely breed type and conformation, Currency is an impeccable mover with the kind of presence that can stop you in your tracks. Her later start in life brought with it some shyness that she continues to work through, but when she finds her confidence and is truly “on,” watch out—this girl is on fire! She has earned Best of Breed placements over specials and has proven that she can absolutely turn heads when she steps into the ring.

We hope that with maturity, confidence, and the experience of motherhood, Currency will find her way back to that fire and continue her journey in the show ring. In the meantime, she has perfected perhaps her most important job of all: being the world's best hot water bottle and an exceptionally snuggly companion.
